Gratkit ABS Like Resin Review

Gratkit ABS like resin promises to offer durability and quality for your 3D printed miniatures. The question is, does it live up to those claims?

They kindly sent me over a couple of bottles to try out, so I got printing and testing to see how well my miniatures turned out.

Quality

Below you’ll see some samples I printed off with this resin. The details are crisp and clear and the overall look of this resin is great. Even at the smaller 32mm scale, everything is easy to see and provides fantastic quality resin prints.

Getting them off the build plate and supports was easy, and although the Gratkit resin smells just a little more than the Elegoo ABS like resin I normally use, it wasn’t obnoxious.

Durability

The other thing that the Gratkit ABS like resin promises is increased durability. For those of us who 3D print miniatures in resin, we know that a knock or drop can often mean the end of these miniatures.

For my test I used three demons by One Page Rules. They’ve got little fiddly bits all over that are likely to break off when dropped.

I take three models and drop them from different heights, seeing how far the three models get.

The heights are, 20 inches, 34 inches, and 62 inches.

At 20 inches, one model broke, but two survived. At 34 inches, no models broke, and at 62 inches, one broke, and one survived.

This resin proved to be one of the best I’ve tested so far, matching Siraya Tech Fast, and beating the others I’ve used.

Conclusion

This is a really good resin and one of the best in terms of quality and durability that I’ve used. It is a little on the more expensive side of things, but if you want a resin that gives good looking miniatures and durability, then the Gratkit ABS Like Resin is worth checking out.
